Thaci: The National Renaissance laid solid ground for our historic conscience

President Thaci has said that a hundred hundred years ago, our reborns at the Library Congress defined the Albanian-language alphabet.

We remember this achieved today as a moment when not only what letters we will use but also which national club will belong to Albanians, our society, our states. After the Albanian League of Prizren, the Monastery Congress was the most important historical event for us. It was the National Renaissance that created a powerful basis for our historical conscience, without which neither the interpretation of the past nor the meaning of the present, but neither the design of the future”, President Thaci said.

The head of state has said that our culture and civilization today take pride in names that in the darkest centuries cultivated Albanian writing.

“Five hundred years before the Monastery Congress, Albanian culture was violently cut off from the streams of Western civilisation. But our relaunchers scattered around the world, but even those who acted inside never stopped trying for our nation's political and cultural liberation. They acted in various cultural centers, used different alphabets and language variants. But they never gave up the goal of spiritual and cultural unity, as fundamental components of the Albanian national being”, President Thaci said.

As true nationals, President Thaci has said that the delegates of the Monastery Congress, with scientific objectives and in light of the Albanian nation's European affiliation, were raised on partial logic, on district psychology, on religious affiliation and made decisions of nationwide interest.

Today, after a hundred years, President Thaci has said that we are proud of the decisions of the Monastery Congress.

“We are proud of that visionary spirit that our cultural being identified where it always had the country, historically, geographically, as people of ancient origin and Indo-European, in the values of Western culture”, he said.

With this alphabet, President Thaci has said Albania's Independence Document has been written on November 28, 1912.

It was written, he added, even the Kosovo Declaration of Independence on February 17th 2008.

The history of our liberation armies and the history of civil resistance throughout Albanian countries is also written. It has also established alliances with the advanced democratic world, with Western democracies, the US, the EU, with NATO. With this alphabet, which produces culture of tolerance and friendship with neighbouring peoples, construction of good neighbourly relations in the Balkans of European perspective” is also being written, President Thaci has said.

The first of the country has stressed that the monastery has been, is, and will remain the capital of the Albanian-language Alphabet.

This fact draws us closer to the state of Macedonia. Let me here congratulate you on the new Albanian country in the Republic of Macedonia. The current generation of Albanian politicians has also contributed to Albanian-language formalism in the Republic of Macedonia. You've given up today. Therefore, this year's manifestations are more specific, since the Albanian language has already become official in the Republic of Macedonia”, Thaci has said.

In that spirit, President Thaci has said that Kosovo considers the agreement between Macedonia and Greece as historical, regarding the official name of the Macedonian state.

Our region, our peoples, according to President Thaci, are becoming a positive example of overcoming and building lasting peace.
