The director of Serbia's so-called Office for Kosovo in Government, Marko Djurovic, has said Serbia has called for immediate and determined reaction of the international community following the Kosovo Government's decision to raise the 10 per cent tax on import of goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The responsibility to halt this economic and legal violence falls on the international community”, Djuric declared, during a media conference.
Djuric has said Pristina has blocked and prevented continuing dialogue in Brussels.
He has added that Belgrade will not continue dialogue with Pristina until it withdraws what he has called the illegal “decision”, which he has named politically motivated and contrary to all the agreements reached.
The trade wars, initiated by Pristina, exist only on sick heads, which they think can do anything, and harm the Serbian and Albanian people. No one can stop the flow of goods and capital”, he has indicated.
Djuric has said Serbia will defend the interests of Serbs, stressing that the trade struggle between Belgrade and Pristina constitutes a direct obstacle to efforts to normalise relations.
He has added that throughout the day he has been negotiating the issue with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, the country's prime minister, Ana Brnabiq, and with Trade, Tourism and Telecommunication Minister Rasim Ljajic.
