“The CIA is not necessarily the highest standards of authenticity or accuracy in assessing situations. Examples of this abounded,” told reporters in Abu Dhabi on Saturday of Prince Turki al-Faisal, a senior member of the royal family.
The prince, who also served as ambassador to the United States, said the conclusion of the agency that Iraq possessed chemical weapons prior to the US invasion in 2003 is proof that the CIA could not be unreliable.
“This was the most incorrect and wrong assessment that led to a full war of thousands killed,” he said, speaking at an event in Beirut.
I don't understand why the CIA isn't on trial in the United States. This is my response to their assessment of who is guilty and who is not and who did it at the consulate in Istanbul”.
The CIA has come to the conclusion that Prince Mohammed ordered the operation to kill Khashoggin, as reported for the first time in the Washington Post newspaper, and then briefed other parts of the American government on her findings.
