And just as every fan in the world of the football game, Kosovo youth are eager to be present at the stadium when the national of Kosovo plays at one of the Kosovo stadiums.
One of these young people is the young man from Pristina, Latif Beqiri, who was looking forward to the day he could be watching his national state as he plays the Malta national at Fadil Vokri Stadium in Pristina.
So that he might be present at the stadium, he, like many others, had waited in line to buy a ticket that would allow him to enter the stadium for the game that would be played a few days later.
But because of what happened to Latifi that day and its consequences the next day, we feel that the event deserves our attention.
During that day, as Latifi, along with many others, was waiting in line to buy the ticket, because of a toll created by some troubled persons, and, I dare say, irresponsible, members of the Kosovo Police had arrived in the country and, in an attempt to set up a row, had felt the need to use the spray, a means to deter or calm the crowd.
Latif had also suffered from the spray, although the latter was not at all part of causing the toll and was quietly waiting for the ticket.
However, separate from causing the irritability of the eyes that causes tears, the content of the spray substance, as we know, is not supposed to have further side effects that could even kill the person.
Then death will be what Latifi faced. Just a day later, after Latif had gone to work, he had suddenly begun to deteriorate. Latiff had begun to get dark of sight, strong headaches, and heartbeats had begun to become more frequent than normal.
Medical intervention saved him. But Latif says that if the doctors later intervened, he could not be saved. While what one doctor told Latife because of his deteriorating situation, questions arise about the spray substance that Kosovo police hold.
The doctor had told Latif that the cause of his deteriorating condition was exactly the spray he had been spotted by police just a day earlier.
This, as if inexplicably, raises questions about the content of the spray substance; whether, for example, it is short - term or even if there is any other substance that endangers the person's life. Such questions are necessary, especially when it is considered that the spray is a tool the police can use in others in the future.
In saying this, such a question was raised based on a doctor's findings. Otherwise, we, in no way, are trying to prove that the spray was the cause of the deteriorating situation of Latif; we cannot rule out the possibility that there may have been other causes in the game.
But on the other hand, it's something worth talking about, as the consisting is made by a doctor and so the case will serve to have the police check on the content or see what spray is available. It costs him nothing.
