MP PDK: Choices Are Planned

The clashes and disagreements of political power and opposition parties have led to the impasse of the Parliament, causing many points to be carried from session to session. Even though the opposition is constantly demanding that early elections be held, they are on schedule for their position. The head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Parliamentary Group (PDK), Memley [...]

The chief of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, has told the EO, that the opposition lacks determination, for raising the no-confidence motion, and that, according to him, calls for elections are being made only for political consumption.

You lack only one thing in fact, determination. They are determined of nothing, they say they want to participate in dialogue and have no courage to take responsibility for the dialogue, say they'll boycott the assembly and then come to the assembly, part of a part comes in, say they want elections and they don't venture to file no no-confidence motion, that's reflecting their internal problems. All they say about developments is that it's not the election order, no one in Kosovo wants elections”.

“Anyone who says he wants an election or is interested in it is insincere and says about daily political consumption. However, any serious party should always be ready for elections, but The PDK thinks it doesn't have to and does not need a” election. When he talks about visas, the boss The PDK in the Assembly said that if Kosovars are not allowed free movement in the Schengen area, with this action the European Union (BE) is turning its back on Kosovo. He calls the scepticism of member states attractive to the commitments of EU officials.

I think it's a very discouraging signal, it's completely unfair, and if such a thing really happens then it would really be a turning back of the European Union towards Kosovo. For years, we have been told that it is not a political decision, but that it is a technical issue, it is the very political attitudes that want to keep Kosovo excluded from one and one fundamental one-way”

. Although optimistic that liberalisation could occur, Krasniqi says Kosovo has met all the specific criteria, even having more criteria than all countries in the region.

Although Kosovo is the most pro-European state and the most pro-European citizens, I think that such rejection signals from the European Union will have its political influence even within our country, but will obviously affect the integration process, but also the dialogue and everything else”.

“I am still cautiously optimistic in the sense that I hope Austria will assume the responsibility it has as its EU presidency leader to put the issue of decision into order by day because we are not guilty of disagreements that EU states have among themselves about the problems of their domestic policies.

We're looking for our right, for years we've been told we've been doing all these jobs, we've done all the work, today it would be beyond the double standard if they're attracted to all the vows they've given them for the years”.

Krasniqi has said they are in the early phase of the party's internal elections, adding that there will be re-invigorating and re-divinating the PDK work at all levels.

“As far as the PDK's internal elections process is concerned, we are in the early stages, it is now opening the election process side of Kosovo in 38 PDK branches. A piece of sub-street ready can begin with elections and assemblies in the days ahead. We expect that in a few months there will be not only elections, but also the debate on the best selection in order to have a reinvigoration and re-invigoration of the PDK's work on all levels”.
