Papa: Injustice is the perverted root of poverty

This was the message that Pope Franzescu shared with believers, poor and domestic groups on Sunday on the occasion of the second day of the poor.

Let's pray for those who have turned their backs on life. The cry of the poor is the strangled cry of the unborn, the hungry, the younger ones who have become accustomed to the bombing rather than to happy shouting in the playground. It is the calling of the elderly, forgotten and abandoned, that is the call of those forced to leave their homes and their homeland for a more uncertain future.
