Today at the INTERPOL Assembly, which was held in Dubai, Kosovo was represented by a large delegation. But this delegation lacked Interior Minister Ekrem Mustafa. The media reported that because of Mustafa's failure to attend the Assembly was the indictment against him.
MPB Minister Ekrem Mustafa says he did not go to the INTERPOL Assembly because the dictatorship leading is represented by police-technical participants. He denies that his nonparticipation was an accusation that the day before was made public.
“The real news I didn't go because of the indictment, Interpol is a police mechanism, not a political mechanism. That's why I didn't go, I've been following suggestions that have gone through the delegation that's absorbed access to INTERPOL”, the minister told Express.
MPB has decided to appear with delegations of police-technical participants. So the MPB represented the police, the Director General and other officials, other officials of this ministry said.
Otherwise, Kosovo in this Assembly was represented by a large delegation. Also noteworthy is the trip of a large number of journalists to convey this event, which was sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
However, Kosovo failed to participate in INTERPOL today after two rounds, where it did not get two-thirds of the vote. In the first round, it secured 76 votes for, 56 against, while in the second round after 20 minutes there were 65 votes for and 51 against.
