Who is Milan Radojicic, wanted for Ivanovic's murder?

Serbia's Interior Ministry said the police, at the request of the Prosecutor for Organised Crime, have interviewed Milan Radojicic, about his knowledge of the Serbian politician's murder, Oliver Ivanovic, in northern Mitrovica. The police have received a statement from the M.R. In line with the request to collect information needed for investigations into the murder of civic Initiative leader Freedom, Democracy and Justice”, the Serbian Ministry's report broadcasting Radio Free Europe said.

The two Kosovo and Serbian prosecutors have confirmed to Radio Free Europe that they have no co-operation in investigations into the murder of Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic.

Kosovo Special Prosecutor Syla Hoxha has confirmed earlier that authorities in Kosovo are in search of Serbian List Deputy Chairman Milan Radojicicic, in the case of Ivanovic.

The indictment refers to the murder of Kosovo Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic, who was killed in front of his party's office in northern Mitrovica on 16 January this year.

What facts there are about this have not yet been disclosed.

During the police action in northern Mitrovica on 23 November, three persons have been arrested in connection with the murder. For them is the maintenance of 30 days. But there's no fourth person out there who's looking. Milan Radojicic has not been found at home during the Kosovo Police action, and he is still on the run. The same day, the fourth person was arrested, but he was accused of resisting the police or obstructing the official person for carrying out the task.

Meanwhile, the prosecution in Serbia speaks about information it possesses in the case.

For any of the persons arrested in Mitrovica, the Prosecutor for Organised Crime in Belgrade has no information that would further link the murder of Oliver Ivanovic”, says this prosecutor in response to Radio Free Europe's question, if Serbian List Deputy Chairman Milan Radojicic, whom Kosovo Police require, has been part of any investigation into Oliver Ivanovic's murder.

The procedure has already announced that it has been processed with all the requirements filed so far for mutual legal assistance, with which, among other things, witness interviewing was required. For the identity of the witness, the prosecution cannot provide clarifications or details of any request. On the other hand, Kosovo authorities, to this prosecution's request, have acted selectively, so that not all required evidence and information has been delivered to the prosecution's response.

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq said on November 23rd that the event in northern Mitrovica has nothing to do with the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, while two days later said he does not know where Milan Radojicic is located.

“We have not accepted any information on Milan Radochiqi's case. When they ask us or tell us, always with the greatest satisfaction I will answer to you”, Vuciq said.

In the meantime, Radojicicci told a statement Sunday evening saying that “has not been a close friend to Oliver Ivanoviqi, but that he is not a murderer and has no connection with his death”.

Radojicic said his police raid on his house had only one goal -- “his murder”.

“Pristina wants to eliminate me because they know that I, along with friends and brothers, am among the few who are willing to oppose their intentions to attack and invade the north of Kosovo and subdue the Serbian people”, Radojic said.

He also made it known that he would not surrender to the Kosovo Police, while about speculation about his whereabouts said that “may say I am close, waiting and observing“.

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq in September 2017, during a news conference, had thanked Radojici as one of those guarding the Serbian people in Kosovo. At that time, representatives of the Serbian List ordered them to fight for their people as much as they can.

“Thank them for preserving Serbia in Kosovo, and watching over their children. I also thank Goran Rakiq, Dalibor Yevtic, Milan Radojicic, Branimir Stojanovic and others. Each of their children preserves Serbia in Kosovo, and that is why I thank you indefinitely. You're fighting for your country. You're fighting for your children.

But, Radojchiqi's mention on the part of the Serbian president, it is disturbing that late Serbian politician Oliver Ivanovic thought. He described Radojichi as a key figure and host of power in the north in October 2017. Ivanovi then insisted that this part of the interview not be published but had ordered that that name be kept in mind. This part, however, was published after his murder.

“The power centre is not the building in the municipality object, but that the municipality is under this second informal centre of power. What concerns me is that Serbian authorities mention this other option, the informal centre of power, as an example of something. The president mentioned Milan Radojicic, and this concerns me sincerely because he took as an example of the Serb survival fighter in Kosovo”, Ivanovic had said.

However, later in a statement to the media, President Aleksandar Vucic said he has no idea what Milan Radojkiqi looks like.

But how it seems that Radojici knew Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who in an interview, for a Media Centre show in Caglavica, in December 2017, talking about good co-operation with Serbian List colleagues in the Government of Kosovo, said there is also co-operation with people from the north.

We'll get him, Milan Radojicicic, I believe he has a role too. He's from the north and he's asked about everything, and I talk to him”, Haradinaj said.

Asked whether he (Radojicic) is a politician, Haradinaj had responded:

You don't just have to be a politician to have a role here, while I'm open and talking to all”, Haradinaj said.

In June 2018, however, Radojicic becomes a politician and is elected one of the deputy speakers of the Serbian List. In September, along with other representatives of the List, he meets with Haradinaj in his cabinet.

For justice organs in Serbia, Milan Radojicic has been known since 2011. At the time against him and Zvonko Veseliniq had filed charges for the takeover of 32 trucks of the firm “Hippo Alpe Adria Lizing”. The incident was raised before the tribunal in Belgrade, and this time happened with Belgrade's decision to start dialogue with Pristina and call on northern Serbs to remove the barricades. Both were acquitted in 2016.

Using the Law for Access to Information, B The IRN, managed to secure the court's first degree in Belgrade regarding this case, in which it said that Radojicic had been convicted earlier, but in accordance with the Law on Personal Data, data has been covered about when, what, and what sanction was pronounced.

Meanwhile, Zvonko Veselinovic is remembered by the public especially at the time of barricades in northern Kosovo, organised during 2011 and 2012. At that time KFOR also identified it as one of the organisers of the riots in that part.

Veselinovic's name links with a series of events. BIRN reported last week that he became the owner of a majority stake in the construction company “Incorpo” of owner Dusica Maksimovic. She also carried 40 percent of the shares to Milan Radojicic. 20 per cent of the shares went to Veselinovic's brother Zarko Veselinovic. This data was published at the Agency for Economic Records.
