Local producers react to the EU: Only Kosovo rejects

The European Union's response against the Kosovo Government's 10% tax decision on Serbian products has wrongly called international producers. Moreover, it is said that the EU is reacting only when Kosovo is in question. Kosovo Economic Ode Chairman Berat Rukiqi and Kosovo Producers Club Astrit Panja [...]
The chairman of the Kosovo Economic House, Berat Rukiqi and that of the Kosovo Producers Club Astrit Panja gave these comments during the signing of the Kosovo export-growing co-operation agreement.
“Tax for Serbian products is the right decision, we need to position ourselves and see the importance of economic orientation, the share related to our economy, but also to new markets. Serbia has so far damaged the Kosovo market as it has over 400m euros of exports to Kosovo”, the chairman of the Kosovo Economic Ode said.
While Panja from the Producers Club said the fee assignment for 10% would help the Kosovo market.
The government's “yesterday's decision is appropriate because we have always demanded that in relations with Serbia and other states we should behave as a state, as full of products in Serbia's Kosovo are sold under the cost of production. That's why it violates the CEFTA agreement, but we hope that this decision will remain in force for a long time and not withdraw as past decisions”, Panja said.
He also added that the EU's reaction is not appropriate, as the latter, according to him, is reacting only when it is a Kosovo question.
I think that the EU has the wrong address because the EU never reacts to violating equal rights for various agreements that Serbia and the Energy one have violated, The EU should treat all equally because in that principle it is founded and not react only to the specific case”, Panja said.
