Khashoggi, a Saudi citizen who worked for the American press, was a prominent critic of his country's rulers.
His body has not yet been found, but Turkey, the US and Saudi Arabia have all acknowledged that he was killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2nd.
Saudi Arabia denies that its royal family is involved and says it is “set to reveal the truth”.
