Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has said today that the attention of political subjects should be to economic development, health and education, not to major topics, which he says are not directly linked to the lives of citizens.
He made these comments on the occasion of the second annual convention of the Kosovo Kidnapping Industry, where he also talked about the importance of orientation of local producers in expanding foreign markets.
Asked whether he will declare whether he has the majority or not, this request by President Hashim Thaci, Haradinaj said there is no practice for such statements.
The first AAK, however, voiced confidence that this government will complete the mandate.
You're talking too much about this subject, everyone from their perspective. I'd rather use it to get rid of them. So if we carry out the army, Interpol, dialogue, liberalisation. Who loses? Then our race between parties is what we do with local products, how many jobs we open to, what education is, what the opportunity, we have health in order. So let's get to this race. I think that for the opposition in particular, it's better to turn into these parameters than to be left in competitions on topics that are big somewhere in the capitals, but our lives are not directly dependent on those”, he said.
He has also spoken of President Thaci's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, with the case indicated there should be no counteractions to what the president did.
It's not good to link everything the president does and all our actions to just counteracting what he did. But it is good that Kosovo, parliament and Kosovo institutions with and after a platform of their own -- a resolution, a delegation -- and then more clarity as the country” -- he said.
As for the extraordinary session, which was interrupted yesterday, the executive leader said it was the MP's request to postpone hearings, while denying that such a thing had other political setbacks.
Haradinaj expressed optimism that as a result of the government's work, Kosovo will manage to enter the Council of Ministers' agenda for visa liberalisation.
“No game. I'm not bad. I'm fine. That the government is trying in different ways to create arguments to enter the agenda of liberalisation. I can't do it in the House. I can't do other jobs in foreign government. But we're not stopping. And, I hala, I think we're gonna make the decision this year. No more stopping. It's early to give up. Too bad it's also this winter our people wait in front of the embassy. It's real this year”, Haradinaj said.
While Kosovo politicians have promised visa liberalisation by the end of this year, such pledges have never come from EU representatives in Kosovo, they have even called for restraint from giving dates.
