The Hague Tribunal for Crimes in the former Yugoslavia has finally confirmed the verdict in the process against Schehel. He is eventually convicted of war crimes.
Vojislav Shesheli has been eventually convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity, though in the first instance he was declared free of crimes charges in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Vojvodina. On the last day of March 2016, he was acquitted and released by French Judge Jean-Claude Antonetti.
In explaining the Antonetti verdict, Seheshel “was not the leader of his party volunteers, the Serbian Radical Party, because they were under the command of the Yugoslav People's Army (APJ)”. The court then found that there is no concrete connection between Szeel's “hate language” with crimes committed.
Lack of Evidence
Two judges of the court, head Antonetti and Judge of Senegal Niang, were of the opinion that Seheshel is innocent. While the third member of the court, Italian Flavia Lattanzi firmly rejected this decision, saying that “the release of Sezel is a major and invalid error”.
The angry prosecutor has immediately complained because she has filed evidence of Schehel's responsibility for crimes, murder, persecution, and propaganda against Muslims. With his hate speech, SESH has directly promoted crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia. 20,000 people were killed in Croatia during the war, while in B-H over 100,000 people were killed. The 72 witnesses brought into the process against Sezel before The Hague's Tribunal for crimes in the former Yugoslavia have presented many arguments for Sezel's responsibility for crimes committed by the Serb Democratic Movement, which he led to B-H, Vukovar, Bijeljani, Brcko, Nevesinje, near Mostar and the Sarajevo area. The prosecution had sought a 28-year sentence of freedom.
So the prosecution immediately complained and we reviewed the case in December of last year (2017), she claimed that Sheshel bore responsibility for the crimes and that in the first process these evidence was not taken into account. The „here is about the fundamental disrespect of the task of Judge”, Serge Brammertz said in the repeated process. The trial court on the second degree found that no “of a reasonable jury has been able to prove that Sheshel is not responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity”. While the prosecution claimed that SESH is responsible for persecution, deportation and violent shift to B-H and Croatia.
Sheel is sentenced to 10 years
Judges on April 11th of this year have sentenced Vojislav SESHel to 10 years of freedom of freedom under charges of persecution, deportation and other non-human acts, as part of crimes against humanity committed in the country of Hrtkovci in Vojvodina. But even in this process, judges have released Schehel on charges of crimes in B-H and Croatia. Sheshel has sought to complain to this decision, but the decision is now final: Vojislav Seseli is convicted of war crimes by 10 years of freedom. He has suffered this sentence at the time he was in custody at The Hague. But this decision can no longer change. He's final. / S/
