Kosovo authorities are taking advantage of the recent weeks to lobby for the issue of visa liberalisation for Kosovo to be part of the agenda of the European Union's Council of Ministers meeting, which is expected to be held in December this year.
Similarly, in early December, European Union Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn is expected to remain in Kosovo, who will discuss with authorities in Pristina implementing EU integration reforms.
The added activity of the Kosovo authorities for lobbiing, for obtaining visa liberalisation for the country's citizens, comes after the scepticism manifested by specific European Union countries for a positive decision on Kosovo regarding visa liberalisation.
Kosovo Government European Integration Minister Gift Hoxha, who is currently on a lobby tour of some EU countries, tells Radio Free Europe that efforts are being made to convince those states that have hesitations for a positive decision on visa liberalisation for Kosovo. According to her, such hesitations most are based on the internal political circumstances of the specific countries, ahead of the elections which will be held in the European Union in the coming year.
