This was disclosed by senior EU Office officials in Pristina during a discussion of the Energy Efficiency, Corruption and the city's heating project in Pristina.
Libor Chlad of the EU Office in Pristina has said that, apart from the capital, even in Gjakova, the implementation of the heating project will begin.
According to him, the project, which was previously financial for the capital's heater, had a massive impact on 12,000 households or 60 thousand individuals from the project. Chlad has welcomed approval of the Energy Efficiency Law in the Kosovo Assembly.
Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti has said efficient measures are important for a clean environment, as the capital continues to face pollution as a result of coal heat.
He said they are aiming to double the capacity of co-operation and, in the next 5-10 years, to shut down about 200,000 people. While Naser Canoll, chief executive chief in Thermokos, said implementation of the Co-operation Project has also affected environmental protection.
Representatives of the Kosovo Energy Corporation have also participated in this panel. TC division Executive Director “Kosovo B” Louis Imer has said co-operation is one of the most important projects for which, he said, along with other projects, will be implemented by 2021.
