Creating a new law on social services is required

Besa Battiu, chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Health, Labour and Social Peace, has said that since visits to the ground it has proved that social services are not being provided satisfactorily. In this case, he mentioned recommendations given to the Commission.

The Commission's “recommendations are for the MPMS to draft new social services laws, to create specific grants for social services from four million to eight million, municipalities to share the budget to provide social services, to increase co-operation between MPMS and municipalities”, Baftiu has said.

According to her, adequate compensation must be made for social service workers, provide suitable objects for social services, and create a special fund in emergency cases.
