Massive evacuations from Albania of doctors and nurses, mainly in Germany, have already become a problem for our country.
According to a poll conducted by the Association of the Together For Life, the balance is about safe figures, as 78% of our doctors claim they can leave Albania.
The findings of this survey reportedly indicate that Albania has the lowest rate of doctors for coverage of health care for the population, with 1.2 doctors per 1000 residents. Many people, especially in rural areas and villages, have many difficulties due to lack of health care in their areas. However, the lack of health experts in recent years has also affected regional hospitals and university centres.
The Association “Together for Life” supported financially by Friedrich Ebert Foundation has conducted a study that has questioned 1,000 doctors about the causes of their departure from Albania.
