Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabiq has further rejected reports from talks held in Brussels that full recognition of Kosovo is a precondition for Serbia's accession to the European Union.
As the Financial Times writes, she has said that” Kosovo Albanian leaders are making a deep mistake if they assume dialogue with Belgrade will result in the official recognition of Kosovo independence”.
When they think that,” Yes, Serbia will recognise our independence “, well, of course it won't happen”, Brnabiq said.
According to her lack of unity between the European Union governments on Kosovo's status means that a long-term <x0-term normalisation agreement” between Belgrade and Pristina would be enough to allow Serbia's membership, Brnabiq claims.
