Chancellor Kurz expressed sceptical about the opportunities Kosovo has to secure the votes of EU member states' foreign ministers.
The Austrian government chief cited many states that are sceptical of visa liberalisation, showing caution later in the declaration.
There are many countries there that are still skeptical. That's what I'm careful about when I'm talking about, because of expectations that could happen”, Kurt said.
Meanwhile, Kurzin has thanked him for his support, President Hashim Thaci, who has named him Kosovo friend.
Thaci has also praised Austria's work in Kosovo's interest, stressing that such support becomes even greater given the fact that Austria takes over the rotating EU chairmanship.
However, Kurz, apart from visas, also spoke of an eventual agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, stressing that the EU would support any agreement reached between the two countries, including border correction.
Otherwise, Kosovo has recorded the problems it will have at the next meeting of the Council of Ministers. There are some countries that are publicly opposed, and some are still skeptical.
