In 2019, Sharri cheese is made with geographical indicators

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development will continue institutional support for the creation of geographical indicators for Sharri's cheese, which is expected to take place over the next year. By the creation of these indicators, cattle products will be promoted even more, and more competitive in the foreign market.
So said Deputy Minister Mevludin Krasniqi, during a meeting of the working group for the project to process the Sarri Cheese Standard, according to geographical indicators, which was held at the French Embassy in Pristina.
During this meeting, which was attended by representatives of the French Embassy in the Republic of Kosovo, Joseph Giustinian, representatives of Sharr's cheese producers and the nongovernmental Organisation for Intellectual Property, have been discussed for the resulting achievements under the project to process the Sart Cheese Standard under the Grecograph Indic Indicators and co-operation for further proceedings. During this meeting, it has been stressed that during 2019 all proceedings will be finalised for recognising Sharr Cheese by standards for the Geographic Index.
In this case, Deputy Minister Krasniqi has reconfirmed MBPZHR support and readiness for continued co-operation and support for the successful completion of this project.
The project to process the Sartium Cheese Standard according to the Geographic Indicators, according to national legislation and EU standards, is being implemented by the MBPZHR and MTI, with strong support from the French Embassy in Pristina and French institutions.
