Grace Jones, 112-year-old, has strong memories of the joy that spread throughout the country, but also remembers the pain of losing his brother and starting the war.
This has been a very painful period”, Grace said with tears in his eyes.
“I would like him to be brother to us now”, she added.
Grace remembers the moment her father had found her brother killed. “
He just sat down and started to cry”, she said it was a big loss because he was the only boy in the family. 112-year-old says those days can be very clear-minded.
She finally described the moments when the war ended and was reunited with her loved ones, singing and dancing.
Sunday marks the 100th anniversary since the 1918 truce that ended World War I.
