Wessel has said dialogue with Serbia is not love, but a necessity through which Kosovo aims to end the conflict with the Serbian state.
Kosovo is giving Serbia space to show more moderate for dialogue with Serbia. This is the first time Kosovo is reluctant to go into dialogue with Serbia. We have very clear positions that we have to protect, our sovereignty and our functionality, as we have an association that aims to be installed in Kosovo. Dialogue with Serbia is not love, it is imperative through which we intend to end the conflict with the Serbian state, but with the attitude that is clear: independent state, membership in international organisations”, Veselin said.
In an interview with Insider, Wessel has said that the opposition is angry with him and President Thaci alone because of the desire to be in power and to win politically.
I'm not even with Thaci. I have the impression. If I have to be honest, they have a wish. The LDK thinks it is damaged by past governance because of an opposition stance that has benefited, this is not state logic. We have gone to the polls because of differences within the LDK”, the Speaker of the Parliament has said.
