Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq has said he is still willing to negotiate with Kosovo Albanian representatives in resolving the Kosovo problem, but according to him, the chances for a positive outcome are smaller than before.

Asked by journalists what it would especially mean when he proposed the correction of the borders, and if that means Serbia will keep Kosovo's north, and Kosovo gets three municipalities south of Serbia, Vuciq said he wanted to set the border between Serbs and Albanians, which “for now nobody knows where they are”, as it is different from what Russia, the US, China, Germany, Serbs and Albanians think.

No one in the world knows where the borders and I thought it was important for the future, to know that, to have peace and stability with Albanians for the next 100 or 200 years. I failed because citizens believe that it is better than we are neither in heaven nor on earth. I think this is wrong, but it is my duty to respect the will of the people “, Vuciq said.

He said that, regardless of everything, he is willing to continue talks with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.

Vuciq said it prevents individual voices from the international community against the correction of borders, with the argument that this would open Pandora's box.

They say they're against borders and nobody knows where they are. Unless these are the actual borders of independent Kosovo? I tell them: ” We will never recognise the boundaries of an independent Kosovo”. What do we do now? They say that's how Pandora's box will be opened”, he said.

The head of the Serbian state reiterated that he will always talk to everyone and try to reach agreement, but he does not seem to be able to do it for three days or three months.
