It has been four years since the Cogeneration Project has been launched, connecting “to <x0kos” with thermal power plants Kosovo Bʹ, from which comes the warm steam for heating Pristina citizens' dwellings. Although it was originally said to be considered the possibility of lowering the price of heating, there is so far nothing in this regard.
Termoko officials say everything is ready for the start of the heating season, while, according to them, prices are not in their capacity, but the ZERE's.
Termoco's spokeswoman, Venus Uka, has told her RTK's that Thermokos sends all reports to the monthly and annual basis of the Energy Regulatory Office, while they decide whether there will be a discount or a price hike for this winter season.
The tariff set-up makes the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), which has the legal obligation to deal with the screening of heating energy tariffs, they request the reports on regular monthly basis, we forward all reports to them on all the costs of thermal energy, and on their basis they calculate the tariffs.
While Astrit Sarachini, head of the Department of Termic Energy and Gas at the Power Regulatory Office (ZRRE), says we will review the tariffs and set for prices.
This year we're reviewing the central heating fees again, it's a methodology with mathematical formulas and how it turns out we also do, but we have to cover all the costs the company makes to cover the central heating service.
The cogeneration project has contributed to the reduction of electricity spending for 30% in the Republic of Kosovo, as a beautiful large part of the capital's inhabitants are heated through the Cogeneration project.
