The protest began with a march from square”Zahir Pajaziti” to move ahead of the Kosovo Government object, where 93 helmets were placed on its flanks, in view of the 93 workers who found death at their workplace.
This number of victims was marked for less than five years.
The Organizer of this protest, Mehmeti, by the NGO “Beyond the Wall”, said the current situation could be considered a state of war. He stressed that such activities will continue if institutions fail to take measures.
Mehmeti argued that the number of inspectors must be increased in order to prevent such cases.
“Inspectorati is saying there are inspections, but no results. I'm worried the number of inspectors is 40. ATK has 400 sosh, which shows the state for money is interested. Before next year the number has to be fixed. They're selling for a hamburger. A worker's life should not be taken for a hamburger”, he said.
In response to the protest was the chairman of the Independent Private Sector Union, Isuf Azemi.
