Minister Shala meets with businessmen from Turkey, invites to invest in Kosovo

Trade and Industry Minister Andrew Shala has hosted representatives of the organisation of businesspeople “RU MEL recogniseSAD”, from the city of Bursa in Turkey.

Minister Shala stressed that he is committed to creating good conditions for foreign investors to come to Kosovo to invest in their capital.

My “and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo's commitment that investors offer to all facilities so that they can have the most possible business done in Kosovo. I thank you and are pleased that businesses from the Bursa are interested in investing in Kosovo”, said Minister Shala.

The minister showed that the ministry in charge has sponsored the Strategic Investment Law, which provides extraordinary facilities for foreign investors.

In Kosovo we already have the law for strategic investments, which we are responsible for implementing. This law is an extraordinary opportunity for businesses investing in Kosovo because it offers unprecedented facilities with the countries of the region. I'm willing to stay behind at every step you want to take to invest in Kosovo. I will guarantee you all the facilities and opportunities for your investment in Kosovo to be safe, but also successful”, said Minister Shala.

Omer Kumova, chairman of the business association from Bursa “RU MEL recogniseSAD”, said they are interested in investing in Kosovo and making the connection between Turkey's and Kosovo businesses.

Kumova said there are several areas that are interested in investing in Kosovo.

So far we have made some investments in the Balkans, and we are thinking of investing again and having some concrete” projects, Kumova said.

Organisation members “RU MEL recogniseSAD” are entrepreneurs in Bursa, Turkey, which some of them descended from Balkan countries. The delegation consists of 11 businessmen considering the possibility of investing in Kosovo in various areas.
