The minister blames the migration for the visas: It's about our political scene

European Integration Minister Gisot Hoxha estimates that the final decision on visa liberalisation in the EU Council of Ministers is challenging because of migration debates and that it has nothing to do with not unifying Kosovo's political scene for dialogue with Serbia in Brussels. Hoxha has stated in an interview for Economy [...]
Hoxha has stated in an interview for Online Economy that the reluctance of France, Germany and the Netherlands has nothing to do with Kosovo, but with the current political situation in their countries, for fierce debate over migration, as well as the strong growth of far-right parties.
“As in France, as in Germany there is a very fierce debate on migration issues, in France there are aspects of security -- that is, migration growth issues have caused terrorist attacks, various attacks that France's citizen is unwilling to and we are seeing a fierce debate in France about this”, Hoxha has said.
So it's completely their internal issue, while in Germany there is no position, there is neither hesitation nor hesitation, but there is no position on the visa issue because they are in an election phase”, it added.
The extra “is the internal debate under way in these states, and they are not willing to vote anything that would give argument to the right-wing parties to grow up in electorates on the other side”, Hoxha is now expressed.
According to Hoxha, statistics recently published by “are very important EU ROSTAT” for persons who have sought asylum in EU countries, Kosovo is not even part of the 30th countries.
This is also an additional argument for us to show these countries that Kosovo will not pose a risk, Kosovo will not misuse visa liberalisation, and especially given the fact that from this 83% research of citizens know what liberalisation means, they know it's 90 days in six months' time, you can't work, study, live in these countries, so it's just a tourist visit without a visa<1>, Minister Hoxha has praised.
According to her, this also shows the large percentage of return, meaning Kosovo citizens who have somehow managed to go and seek asylum in EU countries, 96% of them have returned, reports EO.
The Council of Ministers will hold recent meetings for this year in October and December, but according to Hoxha, seeing the circumstances that are ruling in Germany and France are not expected to make the decision in October, but at the December meeting.
“What I have been calling for and also requested by Austria's Foreign Affairs Minister and the minister for European Affairs that we have visited in Kosovo, so that during the Austrian Presidency, the decision-making must be completed” has made Hoxha known.
Nothing is up to us, it's all in the hands of EU member states, but we have asked that the decision-making process be accelerated and completed by the end of this year”, it has assessed.
