The fact that many citizens in that area often call me on the phone and ask that they be intervened and not put on the table before September because that way the country is disformed is given a bad image and given different signals. I don't know whether it's done on purpose or without purpose, but the very fact that it's repeated such an act, even though many times we've appealed publicly and privately, and in various ways we have sent the representatives of the municipality as parties not to act in such a way because that country is not dedicated to the” market, Rexhepi said.
He adds that this country is dedicated to a personality, a key representative for Kosovo, Bill Clinton, but what it looks like is our <x0-cypher requests have fallen on deaf ears and is repeating”.
Such action is immoral to say conditional because that's how putting potatoes and tomatoes before September gives a completely different connotation. The most prominent element of why we react is because we are witnesses that that the square has become a major tourist site, there are no outside citizens who don't come before that September to take a picture and that in this way by will or inseparably we send negative messages and degrade the square in which an extraordinary political capital has been invested to bring the president to Pristina and raise the image of that square”, Rexhepi has said further.
He added that he has applied to the mayor, Shpend Ahmeti, for the meeting, to discuss the removal of this market, but according to him, the request has run into deaf ears.
I've asked public questions about this. I am aware that those residents need an ambulant market. But I am aware that the consequences of such action are extremely negative. I prefer to the mayor and municipal institutions to capture political finances and remove it because it harms Kosovo's image. I've been looking for an appointment so far but I haven't been able to. We've asked that a security worker be placed in that square to have a camera, to maintain”.
The Pristina municipality has not responded to the issue.
