Kosovo Judita Majlinda Kelmendi has defeated Russian jungle Yulia Kazarine at the Grand Slam of Judo Abu Dhabi on Saturday morning, making her return to the Judo competition after a full 14 months of mandatory mail for hurting her at the 2017 World Championship in Budapest.
Kelmendi defeated Kazarina in the first round of the Judo Grand Slam in the category - 52 kg - this weekend in the United Arab Emirates.
In a very tactical drug, Kelmendi was more aggressive and demanding by forcing the Russian racer to be punished with three cysidas, resulting in her loss.
Caroline Pienskowska is Majlinda's opponent in the second round.
The historic gold medal winner at the Rio 2016 Olympics has now moved to the second round of the Grand Slam of Judo Abu Dhabi, of the United Arab Emirates, held October 27th 29th.
