Kosovo is fulfilling the criteria for membership in Be, but is also accelerating this process. So said at the meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Committee between the European Union and Kosovo, Minister of European Integration Litera Hoxha said the European integration process and full EU membership remains the government's priority.
And in that direction, according to her, the Stabilisation and Association Agreement is the main pillar.
On the other hand, she indicated confident that by the end of the year, the Government will manage to complete the action plan. Hoxha expressed gratitude for representatives of the Stabilisation and Association Committee.
“We are happy that the visa liberalisation process is on the verge of finalisation and we expect the positive decision of the EU Council so that we Kosovars can join the citizens of Europe from Atlantic to Caucasus. We as the Government are devoted to concreteizing with you The ERA in terms of the content of reforms and their implementation”, she said, as she added that reforms are an integral part of Kosovo's consolidation.
European Commission Unit for Kosovo and Macedonia chief David Cullen said Kosovo's progress will be measured through implementation of legal documents. There have been good developments in the region. Kosovo-Serbia dialogue must be used by Kosovo authorities in order to use this moment. At the meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Council, which is to be held next year, we should see the dedication of all authorities in Kosovo to offer the most important issues such as reforms, the fight against corruption and organised crime that must be given absolute priority”, he said.
