I'm back home safely,” said the billionaire in a Twitter post from his METL Group company's account.
It is not clear whether the 43-year-old was released or paid money for his release.
Dewji was kidnapped by armed men at the Hotel Colosseum in early October 11th, as he was heading to the gym for training.
His family had offered a $440,000 reward for any information that would lead to his salvation.
According to Forbes, Dewji has a $1.5 billion fortune and is the youngest billionaire in Africa.
Tanzania's Minister of Environment Jan Makamba said the kidnappers had abandoned Devy in a field near the Gymkhana club in Dar es Salaam.
The billionaire is reported to be in good health, but he has wounds on his hands and feet because of the handcuffs.
Dewji served as deputy in the ruling Tanzanian party for a decade until 2015.
Then he returned to his family business.
His company, MeTL, produces textiles, grinds flour, produces drinks and food oils in at least six African states.
In 2016, the tycoon promised to donate at least half his money to charity.
