The late journalist Jamal Khashoggi's fiancée, says she has refused an invitation to the White House by US President Donald Trump, as, according to her, he is not sincere in the murder investigation.
Hatice Cengiz told Turkish TV he thought the invitation was intended to influence public opinion in the US.
Khashoggi was killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul three weeks ago.
Saudi Arabia initially denied all knowledge of the journalist's fate, but later was “submitted”, accepting the journalist was killed in the consulate.
President Trump has declared he is not satisfied with the Saudi decision, throwing out the possibility of imposing sanctions, but has also stressed the importance of ties between the two countries.
