Macedonian President George Ivanov at the Ohrid Scientific Conference dedicated the 1000th anniversary after the state of King Samoil focused on the Prespa Agreement.
According to him, this agreement will come down to the writing of the so-called politically correct new story in which written things will be placed according to the will of Greece and which will teach children in schools and students at schools.
“With the Prespa Agreement, your academic and educational activity will be monitored by politicians, diplomats and bureaucratics, who will seriously censor the books you write to or from which you legalise”, Ivanov said.
Before participants at the Conference, the Macedonian president said the authors of the text of the Prespa Agreement have shown no recognition of Balkan history.
But they go one step further and deny many universal values. First of all, they deny the right to self-rule, which means that only the nation has the right to decide on its own destiny and that no one is forced to intervene in its life”, Ivanov said.
As the Prespa Agreement envisions, the joint Committee of History Experts, Archaeology and Education Issues between Macedonia and Greece was already formed. The committee, although it should examine the scientific interpretation of historical events, will still have to be accomplished under the supervision of the ministries of foreign affairs of both countries. /Alsat/
