IMF criticises Government for veterans, urges revision of the Salat Bill

Thus has declared the representative of this mission in Kosovo, Stephanie Able, on the occasion of completing the mission's visit, at a media conference held together with Finance Minister Bedri Hamza.
Minister Hamza has said that with the IMF, the draft budget for 2019 has been the topic of discussion, as well as the 2018 budget performance.
“As far as the budget is concerned for 2019 we discussed it in detail, for salaries to the banking balance. The current macro-fiscal situation made us very cautious. Kosovo has macroeconomic stability and is in good fiscal position”, Hamza said.
According to him, the draft budget for 2019 is based on economic growth, while further warning of pension increases, while for the IMF Project has had some concerns.
IMF Mission Leader Able has said they expect economic growth to be 4 per cent, which according to it is the highest growth in the region.
However, he said that an increase still remains which does not take the step of developing countries in the region.
“I have some concerns about the budget for 2019, about income and the veterans' fund. On the part of social categories spending should continue reforms”, Able stressed, adding that the Bill of Salaries should be reviewed because it does not handle equal jobs for equal wages.
She has said the banking sector should improve further for credit.
