In Gjakova, one of the largest warehouses is cleared

Within “Field Clearing Kosovo” today has cleared one of the largest illegal warehouses in the Gjakova municipality of “Carrapathok”, from which dozens of garbage bags were removed and about 20 interrogated waste trucks are discovered through a media communique. Today's action was joined by over 150 volunteers, the prime minister [...]
Today's event was joined by over 150 volunteers, Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, MPs, government and municipal officials, as well as volunteers from the IFK Organisation.
Haradinaj has said that maximum commitment is needed to remove the trash that has been thrown for 20 years and not to jump again.
He said Kosovo is boasting on other topics, such as the army and visa liberalisation, until on the other side the awareness of the citizens for preserving the clean environment has yet to be achieved.
On the other hand, he urged citizens to denounce environmental pollutants until he warned punishments for them.
“has only a time since “Cleaning Kosovo” has declared war on shit. I'm glad we're in Gjakova today, in a country that only has positive appreciation for commitment to the environment. I thank all those who are now engaged in cleaning, starting with volunteers and deputies, as well as the mayor of the municipality. I want to say two words: I've been to Montenegro and I've been impressed everywhere I haven't seen any letter, and we want to enter the race with neighbours for a clean Kosovo. We want to clean up what we've been throwing for 20 years, and the second one, we're not throwing it away. Citizens should know that there will be punishment for those who throw trash. We have entered the most critical period for a clean Kosovo but also kept it clean. We're gonna ask for a commitment from the police, inspectors and all to preserve the environment. We also ask citizens to denounce the dump. Punishments and sentences have been real. There's no way we've been here. Now we're boasting about other subjects, boasting that we're making armies, boasting that we're entering Interpol, begging for visa liberalisation, or see how we throw the trash”, Haradinaj said.
On the other hand, the executive director of “Clearing Kosovo”, Luan Hasanaj indicated that under the Field, 322 illegal warehouses have been cleared, from which more than 70,000 tonnes of waste have been removed, broadcast Koha.net.
He made it known that the shares that were made up under the “Field Clearing Kosovo” so far joined more than 150 thousand volunteers, while they will continue until 15 December.
The 322 illegal waste depots in Kosovo have been removed so far. There are over 150 thousand citizens, volunteers who have participated in Kosovo's clean-up shares. So it turns out that half of the large warehouses in Kosovo have already left, and with this dynamic we are continuing every day, in all municipalities. I want to thank the Chairman of the Gjakova Commission for the model commitment he has made to this day in the municipality, where there have been almost daily shares. I think how the municipality should take the model from other municipalities to continue this way and preserve Kosovo clean. As the prime minister said, public property should be treated as everyone's common property, mostly of us citizens. Today we're in the middle of a neighborhood that doesn't look poor. We don't know why they turned this space into garbage dumps. I hope we don't come back here to get rid of shit, but for some common activity that worked for us all”, Hasanaj said.
Today's action to remove waste from the basement in the sector “Carrrapathok” was also helped by the company “The Temple “and shpk “Mlaj”, which removed the trash with their machines.
“Clearing Kosovo” is announced today's action in this location, will continue tomorrow from companies with machinery, to the removal of all remains.
