Heavy clouds of rain and strong winds were especially riveted over the Cable, where a woman considered extinct has been found lifeless. One overpass collapsed in part by violent rain, while schools, museums, libraries remain closed.
On the Spanish island of Majorca, rescue teams are looking for a young five-year-old boy and two German vacationers who turn out extinct after a sudden flood of water.
Two lifeless bodies were found in southern France in a car crash near the town of Sainte-Maxime. It appears to be one of several vehicles pulled from the waters of the Garonnette River, which increased significantly after heavy rain in the area at night, follows the TCh.
Storms are part of a cold front that has moved across the Mediterranean, taking at least 12 lives in Majka, including two British tourists. Fast intervention workers have been able to save a total of 16 people.
