Ireland has adopted a new law on driving that will immediately take effect.
Under this law, anyone caught by drunk police will lose its license in the country.
Transport Minister Shane Ross said that under this law, all drunk drivers caught by police will automatically lose their driver's license for a period of three months.
So far, Ireland has had a penal system, but because of the large number of accidents caused by drunk drivers, it has chosen a stricter law.
It is completely wrong for these people to be released with mild sentences and receiving punitive points, so, in the future, people acting this way will automatically leave traffic for three months”, Ross said.
