People who complain about chronic fatigue and who sleep longer are actually more lazy people or are depressed.
A clinical study has proved, however, that it is a viral infection with a virus that resembles HIV in its characteristics AIDS virus.
Judy Mikovites, director of the neurologic Research Center, one of the leading authors of the study, examined 101 people who suffered from chronic fatigue.
All of them were found to be infected with a retrovirus known as XMRV. The chance that this virus was found by chance in these people was very small, as evidenced by abandoning this virus in a group of people who did not suffer from chronic fatigue.
This virus attacks parts of the immune system that come through blood or other body fluids. Unlike HIV, which attacks anyone with whom it is in contact, the XMRV virus only harms people who have a physical or genetic predisposition. It is thought that millions of people maintain this virus and have no symptoms, Kosovo priss broadcasts.
What is good in the whole situation is that a retrovirus infection can be treated. In this direction, the biggest credit is researchers dealing with side treatment for the past 20 years. Instead of treating people who suffer chronic fatigue from anti - depression drugs, they will begin to give them antiretrovirus drugs.
In Canada, 340,000 people have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue. Symptoms are expressed in the form of fatigue, memory loss, and concentration, inexplicable pain in muscles and joints, headaches, insomnia, and severe fatigue after physical and psychological efforts.
Besides body fluids, the virus can be transmitted by blood transfusions. This does not mean that blood that is not infected with HIV does not contain the XMRV virus and should be very cautious about blood transfusion.
Some drugs that affect HIV will have a positive effect on people who suffer from chronic fatigue. Since these drugs are already on the market, clinical rehabilitation will not be required.
