Ryan Dean Langdale, 19, told police of an accident wound in his home. The suspect told authorities that his 17-year-old cousin accidentally hit himself while cleaning up the hunting rifle.
The 19-year-old was initially giving the first details, but rushed and fell on his feet, as his testimony was not compatible with evidence.
Sheriff Chapman said the victim was unable to shoot himself by looking at the way through blood signs.
And a week later, when Langdale's cousin woke up from his coma, he informed authorities that his cousin shot him during a potato dispute.
The 17-year-old said: “shouted at me not to touch Lays potatoes would otherwise shoot me and he did. ”
After the debate, 19-year-old went to the back room to get the rifle he shot at in his cousin's chest with.
Langdale has been charged with attempted murder, using a firearm against his 17-year-old cousin.
