The person considered the youngest billionaire in Africa has been kidnapped by armed men and masks in the town of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
Mohammed Dewji was kidnapped outside a gym where he went to do morning training.
Three people have been arrested in connection with the event, and two of the kidnappers are thought to be foreign citizens.
The motive for kidnapping 43 years is still unclear.
Who's Mohammed Dewji?
Forbes ' financial magazine praised his assets at 1.5 billion dollars and considered him the sole billionaire of Tanzania.
In a 2017 report, Forbes said Dewji was the youngest billionaire in Africa.
He promised in 2016 that he would donate at least half his goods to charity, Forbes reported.
Dewji, known as Mo, turned his family business from a retail and retail business into a pan-African conglomerate.
His company, METL, deals with textile production, flour grinding, producing drinks and food oils in at least six African countries.
