An eyewitness has told the BBC that four armed men have opened fire in the direction of Hotel “Interctinal” in Kabul, the Kosovo Clan broadcasts.
Special forces faced armed men, Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said.
An official at the Afghan Spy Agency said about AFP that armed persons have “shot guests”. Social media posted photos of the hotel on fire.
The attack began around 9:00 local time. There were reportedly persons equipped with suicide bombs among the attackers. “Interctinual” is a state hotel that often organises weddings, conferences and political gatherings.
