Wessel's late stand for Special

AAK deputy Rasim Selmanaj, on the interactive “ ” show, has commented on the letter of Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Wessel, with whom he rejected the initiative through which the Special Court's abolition was attempted. Selmanaj has said that Veselin's stance against the initiative has had to be made public on December 22nd, the night that I tried to hold an extraordinary session to abolish the Special.
“As for Wessel's letter and its already public position, I think it would be okay if this attitude was held on December 22nd when the initiative for calling the extraordinary session” was taken, Selmanaj said.
Asked whether AAK deputies feel deceived by the PDK, the party that took the initiative to collect signatures for holding the extraordinary session, Selmanaj has said he does not feel deceived himself, as he was aware of what he was signing.
I don't feel cheated because I've knowingly signed it because I have my own attitudes towards this Court, but it's a matter of MPs and parties changing attitudes. We continue to take our stand against the Special Court. I am repeating that I continue to oppose this format of the Court that claims to try the alleged crimes of the KLA, rather than the crimes Serbia has committed”, has highlighted the AAK deputy, who would vote against the Court in case the law comes to the Assembly in the coming weeks.
Personally if this court comes to the Parliament, I will vote against it, not because I am against this court, but against this format. I am for the establishment of a court in Pristina that would judge all crimes committed during the war in Kosovo, because it is creating a climate as if Kosovo has committed crimes and not Serbia, in fact it is the opposite. But to enforce Serbia's crime and prosecute Albanians, I think it's a huge damage being done to our country”, Selmanaj has said.
I'm aware that it's late [involved to abolish], but if space and opportunity are created to improve a mistake, I think it's completely right”, he added.
Selmanaj does not know whether by the initiative for abolition it has withdrawn The PDK, but hopes that MPs from this party have been aware of what they are signing.
“Can't tell if it's withdrawn The PDK because signatures are still there, but I want to believe MPs have been aware of what they are signing that evening. MPs who have signed will take the stand if they do not take the stance is new development”, Selmanaj has said.
