A cancelled trip by Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj Ioua of the United States because of its failure to issue a visa has sparked debate in Kosovo, if the current leader can face isolation measures after several clashes with international representatives.

The continued disregard for calls by the United States and the European Union for ratification of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro and the initiative in the Kosovo Assembly to abolish the Special Court Law, by local analysts, were estimated to be followed by consequences for Kosovo and its leaders.

Lastly, there was an official from the National Guard in Iowa of the US has told Radio Free Europe that Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has cancelled his visit to this state, with the reason that “ai couldn't obtain a” visa.

Colonel Greg Hapgood, spokesman for the Iowa Guard, has said Haradinaj was expected to participate on Thursday in an event organised by National Guard Commander in Iowa, Timothy E. Orr.

“Prime Minister Haradinaj has been invited by General Orr to that event, but it is a pity he has not been able to obtain the visa and be along with us”.

“The explanation has been that the visit will not take place right now and that we have not received more”, Colonel Greg Hapgood said.

According to him, instead of Haradinaj, Deputy Prime Minister Behgjet Pacolli is expected to participate.

In recent days, in local media in Kosovo, it has been rumoured that Prime Minister Haradinaj has been denied visas to travel to the United States of America to participate in the <x0m prayer”, this annual organisation at the White House in Washington.

But, Halil Matosi from Prime Minister Haradinaj's cabinet, tells Radio Free Europe, that the visa demanded by the prime minister to travel to the United States has nothing to do with “Morning prayer”.

On the other hand, the invitation to “Morning Prayers” has been received by Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Wessel. But from his cabinet they have said that in terms of his participation in this organisation, “will have co-ordination with the specified agenda”.

Meanwhile, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci's office, Hashim Thaci, has not provided an answer if an invitation to “Morning prayer” is also received by the president.

Otherwise, procrastinating the issue of ratification of the agreement on demarcation, as well as recently trying to send demands for the abolition of Kosovo's special war crimes tribunal in Kosovo, largely influenced the frustration of reports between Kosovo's top institutional leaders and the ambassadors of Western countries in Kosovo, such frustration of the reports has been reflected particularly on the reactions of Queen's countries' ambassadors.

But has the frustration of these reports affected or not being granted by European Union countries and the United States for senior Kosovo officials?

Politologist Ramush Tahiri, speaking of Radio Free Europe, stresses that the visa issue has been regulated in each state separately, and specific invitations do not automatically guarantee even visa obtaining. But, according to him, in the case of diplomatic protocols, there is a very different procedure, but this should be seen in principle and not in particular cases.

What I say is principled policy. A country enters under sanctions or a leader enters sanctions on specific issues and may also be lists of proper or concrete names, not because there are political differences, but because there are anti-democratic and anti-legal acts. In this matter, it should be discussed at which stage the leadership of Kosovo is and how contrary it is to the interests of the people or the will of the people, from whom they have taken the votes”.

Kosovo leaders, according to politicologist Tahiri, have received international obligations and they must realise. Otherwise the country, but even institutional leaders themselves will face consequences.

After Christmas holidays, it will be seen how far they can be tolerated so as not to apply the decisions that have been imposed and with which they have taken power. These are not secretive, but these actions will be very concrete and will be publicly stated, even the disagreements the European Union has in this case with Kosovo politics and institutional carriers, but also the United States, which has a very important role in Kosovo's independence, as well as in its institutional construction”.

As law-and-political connoisseurs have earlier said, failing to comply with international obligations on the part of Kosovo could significantly exacerbate the country's reports with international allies. That, according to them, would put Kosovo in the face of multiple consequences.
