Skopje again faces polluted air

At the Centre on 1 January, the concentrations have moved from 101 to 352, to Gazi Baba, from 110 to 418, to Karposh of 107 to 447, to Lysice, 161 to 556, and to reactors of 125 to 415 microgram in cubic metres. Overnight pollution has also been high. Metric stations show concentrations at the Center of 96 to 205, Gazi Babe, between 113 and 522, Karposh, 97 to 349, Lisice, 206 to 629, and at reactors 167 to 468 microgram. In case of exceeded information threshold for PM10 particles suspended in two successive days with mid-day concentrations over 100 micrograms per cubic metre is recommended to use public transportation, vehicles not to be exploited without great need, many people to drive with an automobile at the same time, not be used to heat up burned oil spaces, wood waste, or furniture, PET ambalage, rubber, and synthetic material and wood ovens are properly exploited. Limitations are also recommended to open - air activities and activities of the most endangered category of children, older persons, chronic lung and heart disease, with special risk to asthma sufferers. But also for those who expose their professional commitment to the open environment in polluted areas of the city. The move for air pollution declares the Government and the City of Skopje, when in two successive days it will measure concentrations of over 200 micrograms in at least two measuring stations. Due to air pollution, the Government and the City of Skopje activated urgent measures against pollution, which last to lower air pollution.
