The session that was scheduled to be held today in connection with the case "Toka" -- the case which was charged with the former deputation of The PDK and the former commander of the KLA's General Staff, Azem Syla, as well as 39 others charged in the case known as Tokaı, has been interrupted, as the judges' panel was incomplete.
The judiciary in this case is led by two EULEX international judges, as well as a local one.
But because Judge Nora Blace has passed to the Court of Appeals, the panel is not complete, and for that reason the initial hearing for this week will not be held until a judge is appointed by the Kosovo Judicial Council.
The hearing in question had already reached top indictee Azem Syla as well as some others.
In the case known as “Toka”, Azem Syla and others are charged with organised crime in changing social-owned lands in Veternik and Llapnasell, near Pristina.
The defendants in question are charged with organised criminal acts, money laundering, bribery, heavy fraud, duty fraud, legal decision-making, misuse of office, legalisation of counterfeit content and tax evasion.
