The remains of a hose, DNA, stolen jewelry and a cell phone taken from a victim were among the investigations of investigators who linked Cleophus Cooksey Jr, 35-year-old, to the murders, according to court documents.
He should scare each of us into the room, which he managed to kill nine people, let alone in such a short three-week period, said Sergeant Jonathan Howard, the Fenix police spokesman.
Seven men and two women were shot between November 27th and December 17th in their homes, in their apartments, in parking lots or out into the wild, says the document, reports The Guardian”, broadcast Periscope.
Cooksey, described by police as an aspiring music player, we interviewed some of the victims but the investigations have not yet brought the motives of the attacks, reportedly according to Fenix police officials Glendales and Avvendas.
The victim named Jesus Real, 25-year-old, was the brother of Cooksey's ex-girlfriend. Real was sleeping in his house in Avondal on December 11th when Cookseyt had shot him twice in the face.
Cooksey had previously been in prison for 16 years, in charge of murder and armed robbery.
Fenix Mayor Greg Stanton said the new technology allows police to get the results of ballistic checks within hours instead of weeks and to find easier connections between cases. “This means that crimes are resolved sooner,” he said./Periscopi/
