Environment Minister Albena Resiti has called for empowering a series of measures as an effort to expose the poor air situation in Pristina.
“We as minister have requested the commitment of the dictatorships responsible for this issue, so I ask the government to support us in implementing the plan outlined long ago. I demand from today's meeting of the government that we go out with the creation of an Interministerial Task Force to take specific measures and implement the administrative guidelines that we have at”, Resiti said at the Government meeting, writes Periscopi.
It has asked the Government of Kosovo to provide the ministry with a lot of money, through which free public transportation would be enabled to Pristina citizens until it continues to be the poor quality of air in the capital.
“I ask you for this period to consider your support to enable public transportation to the citizens of Pristina in real time for certain periods until air pollution levels exceed the”, Resitiy said, says Periscopi.
“We are in co-ordination with the Pristina municipality to do the reduction of vehicle flow in parts of Pristina when the pollution level is higher. I seek from the Ministry of Education to make a decision to cut the use of coal in all schools of the Republic of Kosovo”, she has said. /Periscope.
