UP Director Marjan Dema in an interview for Kosova Prees has said they are interested in changing Kosovo from students to not waiting for others to happen.

First UP's has said that since receiving the mandate they have created standards, criteria, standards through which they have wanted Pristina University to make it equal for all.

Establishment and implementation of these standards, Demas says they help combat evil and corruption.

This has enabled us to remove politics, political influence from the university, advancements and records, because we have implemented criteria, to eliminate this year we no longer have a professor who is either accepted or advanced by non-Candid works and magazines we have eliminated. Then we've made changes in the revenues, so far our professors have been paid for exams, they're not paid, we've reduced many more payments we've saved over 1m euros, which we're going to use for new employment. Because the problems we have behind us have been the lack of academic staff, lack of academic staff, lack of professionalism, then we have established and refunctioned many offices that will help us, as I said, transform”, the reactor stressed.

The director made it known that through the research office and sponsored projects, they intend to absorb and generate tools from other funds, according to him that office will help professors who have ideas to apply for various funds.

He also said they are very interested in changing the form that Pristina University depends only on the budget, as he said they want to create budgets through scientific research.

UPA has begun training young professors but will train all professors because, according to the sector, they want to escape the old method of teaching with a method that works and that the student is related to practical work.

Aside from these successes, according to the sight of UPI this university has been followed by a large number of challenges or problems this year.

The number of challenges has been huge, what we've been doing has been that all the challenges, we've turned all problems into goals, we've turned them into tasks, in strategic plans that the vast majority of us've addressed, some are in the process, but we don't have any challenge or problem that hasn't moved. But what has been the challenge, we first have many problems with legal acts, which are old-fashioned, have not been sanctioned, have not advanced. Then, the space problem, we have a shortage of spaces, there have been three years that millions of euros go to deficit because we have no new construction permits. The space for a student is about a square mile [1.60 sq m] that's under any minimum, since this linear is not going to be that bad, when we have schools that maybe some 77 square inches per student. Lack of labs, we still work with very old labs”, he stressed.

One of the problems that UP students face is the lack of literature, in many ways students learn only by means of a few of the crimes made by the professors who legalize those subjects.

For this lack of literature, UP leader Marjan Dema says the biggest problem was caused by lack of funds.

“Literature is a problem in Pristina University and the biggest problem is that we don't even have funds. We as management are not very interested in investing in original literature, because it's hard for us with the potential that we have except a few pieces of literature, national history, language and literature, but I'm talking more about technical sciences, medicine, natural science, where science is really going very fast. We're very interested that first through offering material students to ease this, we're interested in having an ebook that we miss. But above all, we are very interested in creating funds and translating some of the basic books for our basic studies from foreign languages, from English, which books are the last word of literature that our students will use. But we're very excited and we have literature and English, and our students know English we're very interested in heading to foreign languages as well, because we know, globalisation is a process we can't escape from and of course we can't go away by Albanian only”, he said.

Priority for the following years the reactor UP, Maryan Dema, says to have the creation of all that has been done so far. /M. Duraku.
