First reaction coming from Albin Kurti following recent resignations in Vetevendosje

Vetevendosje Movement chairman Albin Kurti, through a script published on his Facebook, has mentioned successes that over the years the Vetevendosje Movement gained. But, after that, he has also written about recent developments within the party, which he has said he has expected to improve, but since his release from prison, there were only resignations.

He has said that yesterday the Vetevendosje Movement at the Headship Meeting has voted for MPs in Headship and who resigned. He said they were voted to examine him and return to Head, because he doesn't hold a grudge against anyone or retaliate.

Finally, he has invited those who think differently and who have other ideas, to present their platforms and compete for party chairmanship, since it is officially only Albin Kurti.

The year 2017 was a year of V Movement's victories and successes I'm sorry. Never before has the people loved and supported us so much. After the 1999 liberation and the declaration of independence in 2008, third enthusiasm arose in Kosovo. Citizens became confident in progress and hope for the future. The double of votes on June 11th made us the first political subject in the Republic and the largest parliamentary group in the Assembly. With victories in Pristina, Prizren and Darda on November 19th, citizens were deepening and extending the good governance of SEVENJA! to the capital.

We know about the two days before the runoff, they were sentenced to 21 years in prison to Frashar, Homeland, Egzon, and Adean, without evidence, without evidence, or arguments, in a politically set process since the beginning. Meanwhile, four days after the run-off, the persecution of MPs for tear gas in the Assembly resumed against “Zajednica” and “Demarkation”.

During December 2017, at the time we were held by the regime in custody, there have been strong public disagreements against me by some officials in our movement. These differences became interesting not enough about the topics and issues raised, but about the momentum of those officials whose opposition focused primarily on me. I've been and I've always been ready and interested in discussing with all of them, open and seriously, on each of the topics or issues where they believe they think different and it needs to be different. This democratic discussion, of course, should be held in V's organs. At the Chief, the Council General, meeting with the leaders of the Movement Centres, the Parliamentary Group, at the joint chairmanship meeting with the Parliamentary Group, the Secretary General.

Yesterday, we had the headship meeting and I hoped we could discuss it there. Since my release from prison, however, it seems that we have entered a new chapter in the phase of resignations. First, President Visar Ymer, all at the end of his mandate and at the press conference, resigned; second, Deputy Chairman Dardan Sejdiu, e-mail exactly at 1: 00 p.m., when the chairmanship meeting began, resigned. When I was in prison, I heard news saying I was waiting for discussions. Now that I went out and waited for series of debates at our meetings of our organs, resignations are listed by those who wanted to discuss it while I was in custody.

Movement V This is a democratic subject. You don't impose your attitude on anyone. Yesterday, together, with the participation of over 2/3 of Headship, we voted for the resignations to be reviewed and demanded that all resigns return to Headship. We've made the decision to ask again, with all the goodwill possible, to return, to be together, to work together. The final decision is theirs. I hope their answer is positive, since I don't even know how to hold a grudge or even retaliate. Never with anyone.

Moreover, those who think differently, who have other ideas as members and as Movement officials, I also encourage them to present their platforms and compete for the new chairman of Movement V. I'm sorry. The deadline for running is until Wednesday, January 10, 2018. I, already as the official candidate for chairman, am at the conclusion of the drafting of my platform that I will submit after January 10th. Those who have other ideas and claim idealism have not only the right but also the task of competing in such internal choices. So let's organise debates in the campaign for domestic elections for new V Movement chairmanship As our Internal Elections Rules predicts. How valuable and helpful this would be for both our domestic democracy and Kosovo, where we should lead by our example.

Faith and commitment to the political agenda, principles as well as practices of domestic democracy will further enhance and strengthen the movement during 2018.
