Prizren Mayor Mytaher Haskuka has indicated that he has found Prizren's municipality in poor condition, following the eight-year rule of Ramadan the PDK's Muja.

He showed that from the first two envelopes he opened as chairman, the first was a lawsuit against the municipality for disrespecting the signed contract, while the other envelope was information that a business had sent to the mayor because it was not paid for the services he had performed.

Haskuka next reports there are about four thousand indictments by citizens, various private companies or agencies against the municipality. According to him, this means that in the last 16 years, every working day has been filed by a lawsuit in courts against the Prizren municipality, while their value could amount to over 50m euros and these eventually will be paid out of Prizren's municipality budget -- much higher than the annual budget.

He has warned that the following days will publish other problems caused by abuses or mismanagement of the past municipal government.

Ramadan Muja during his several-year rule had faced justice after being charged with abuse of official office.

Full response:

At a meeting with the only legal representative who is defending the public interest of the municipality in Kosovo courts, I was informed today there are about 4,000 indictments by citizens, different private companies or agencies. This means that in the last 16 years every working day has been filed by an indictment in courts against the Prizren municipality.

A quick analysis of these indictments shows that their value could amount to over 50 million euros, these will eventually be paid out of Prizren's municipality budget, and that amount is higher than Prizren's annual budget. For the past 16 years, government officials translated into the work, with harmful contracts, nonwork, and daily labour violations, have damaged the municipality by about 12,000 Euros.
