U.S. Vice President Mike Pence says that the United States will open the Embassy in Israel in Jerusalem in 2019.
The Pence, which is on a visit to Israel, said today that the president's administration, Donad Trump, will move on its plan, which has been assessed as a counter-proposal, and the embassy will open in late 2019.
Earlier it was predicted that the movement of the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem could last four years.
In his speech to the Parliament of Israel, Mike Pence has defended Trump's decision to get to know Jerusalem for the capital of Israel. This decision has been sharply criticised by Palestinians and their Arab allies.
Palestinians claim that eastern Jerusalem, occupied by Israel, will be the capital of their future state.
Following Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the Palestinians said they would reject any peace plan presented by the Trump administration.
